Clara Louise Brewer, 93, Orange

Clara Louise Brewer, 93, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 9, 2022, at Cherished Years in Orange.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Chaplain John Bryan. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Ged, Louisiana, on January 3, 1929, she was the daughter of Ira Joseph Guidry and Alta (Chaisson) Guidry.

Clara dedicated her life to her family, raising her children with love and devotion. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion. Clara found great joy in feeding her loved ones and spending time at the lake. She was a caring woman who adored her children and grandchildren, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Aubrey Brewer; and her brother, Clarance Pierre Guidry.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Brewer of Conroe and Susan Woodard and husband Ricky of Orange; her grandchildren, Brent Henry and wife Jennifer, Stacy Coon and husband James, Landon Woodard and wife Stephanie, and Lacy Bickham and husband Caleb; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Pabst and husband Layne, Adam Henry and wife Brandi, Brandon Coon and wife Katie, Brady Coon, Allie Henry, and Jax Woodard; her

great-great-grandchild, Cooper Henry; and her sister, Mary Lou Murphy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Henry, Landon Woodard, James Coon, Adam Henry, Brandon Coon, and Layne Pabst. Honorary pallbearers will be Brady Coon and Caleb Bickham.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Christie Frasier and Jeremiah Jackson at Cherished Years and to Jane Terrier, Denise Granger, and Sharla Weldon for their loving care of Clara.
