Chamber hosts National Night Out at park Tuesday

Bridge City Chamber is once again sponsoring a free community event for National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bridge City Park , 105 Parkside Drive.
The National Night Out is a way to honor first responders and get families in the community together. Businesses and civic groups will have booths with games and activities for families, along with food and drinks.
Anyone interested in reserving free booth space should call the Chamber at 409-735-5671.
In addition, the Chamber has set November 3 as the date for its annual Designer Purse Bingo fundraiser. The bingo festivities will begin at 6 p.m. at the Orange County Expo Center on FM 1442.
The event is for ages 21 and older and each person will receive two tickets for adult beverages. Sponsorship tables are available for $600 and girlfriend tables are $500. Each sponsor and girlfriend table will also have a bottle of wine provided at the table. Individual admission is $60 and includes the two drink tickets.
Participants will play bingo to win a variety of designer purses and handbags.
To reserve a table or purchase an individual ticket, contact the Chamber at 409-735-5671, or go by the Chamber office, 150 West Roundbunch Road. Chamber office hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays.
The Chamber on Friday, September 30, will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sapphire Wings Boutique, 1980 Texas Avenue.
