Carolyn Jo Berry, 81, of Beaumont, passed away on September 9, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm., Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Born in Orange, Texas, on February 1, 1941, she was the daughter of Willard and Louise Kent. Carolyn received her teaching degree and worked as a school teacher in special education for several years. She loved spending time at the beach and walking down the shore line. Carolyn took great pleasure in embroidery, floral design, and writing beautiful poetry and two books for her grandson. She loved her family more than anything and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Louise Kent; and mother and father-in-law, Lloyd and Helen Phelps.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Charles “Cooter” Berry; children, Travis Satterfield and wife, Carol, Tiffany Ferrari and husband, David, Coot Berry, Rodalyn Tuttle, Andy Berry and wife, Leslee; grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, Lila, Skylar, Tiffany, Harrison, Kaitlyn; great-grandchild, Andrea; great-great-grandchild, Ariana; brother, Tommy Kent and wife, Susan; and sister-in-law, Pat Frederick and good friend Jeanette.
