Born in Zwolle, Louisiana, on July 22, 1940, he was the son of Cleveland and Inez Campbell. James absolutely loved being outdoors no matter the reason. He was partial to fishing and camping, which he enjoyed in his spare time. James would always have this biggest smile when he was reeling a “big one.” He also liked to spend afternoons and weekends getting his hands dirty and working in his garden. James was truly loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Sandra Campbell; siblings, Shelba Forse, Barbara Coulter; and parents, Cleveland and Inez Campbell.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Cooper and husband, James; grandchildren, Jeremy Cooper and wife Tricia, Michaela Cooper, Waverlee Cooper; great-grandchildren, Emma, Luke, Aiden, Keagan, Andrew, Anna; brother, Troy Campbell; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kendall Darder, Craig Darder, Kenneth Harris, Randall Harris, Jeremy Cooper, and Luke Cooper.
