Bernice L. Briley, 81, Orange

Bernice L. Briley, 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 31, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Big Bend, Louisiana, on February 18, 1941, she was the daughter of Elliott Lemoine and Hattie (Simon) Lemoine. Bernice dedicated her life to caring for her family. She found great joy in spending time with her loved ones. Bernice also enjoyed crafting, quilting, and baking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Hattie Lemoine; her beloved husband, Richard Briley; her son, Lane Briley; her grandson, Clayton Briley; and her siblings, Byron Lemoine and Earline Busche.

Bernice is survived by her children, Thad Briley and wife Denise of Magnolia, Joni Briley and wife Tara of Orange, Sean Briley and wife Kristin of Orange, and Joey Briley of Orange; her daughter-in-law, Liz Williams and husband Tommy of Orange; her grandchildren, Lauren Briley, Dillon Briley and wife Kristine, Jordan Briley and wife Carsen, Kaden Briley, Lindsey Perkins, and Sophia Briley; her great-grandchildren, Vivian Briley, Rylan Briley, Owen Briley, Sawyer Briley, and Cash Briley; and her siblings, James Lemoine and wife Edda, Daisy Bernard, E. J. Lemoine and wife Judy, and Michael Lemoine and wife Pam.
