Christie was born on August 21, 1968, in Beaumont, TX. She entered into rest on October 23, 2022, at home.

She is survived by her husband, Neil Kitzman, and her two children, Daniel Kitzman (20) and Katherine Kitzman (16) of North Augusta, SC. Her mother, Gloria Ann Pittman and her husband Larry of Denham Springs, LA; and father, Randolph Beeson and his wife Susan of Midland, MI. Her sister, Julie Pelt and her husband Bobby of Beaumont, TX. Her stepbrother, Paris Crocket and his wife Dee who reside in California. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly.

Chris was a fun-loving person who loved to have a good time. She deeply enjoyed music and dancing. Planning and taking trips and traveling to both new and familiar destinations, including the beach, mountains and abroad. She loved to make and record memories with her children, family, and friends. She enjoyed the adventure of finding new places and enjoyed the wonder in all she saw and experienced. When she was home, she could be found planning a party or gathering, decorating the home, enjoying her yard and pool, and listening to music. She enjoyed art and architecture, as well, and these were often the focus of her travels.

Chris enjoyed worshipping God through music, dance, and prayer much like the biblical David. She enjoyed yoga, fitness, swimming in the pool and roller skating, often seen skating with her children.

Chris grew up an 80’s “valley girl”. She attended Lamar University, graduating with a Bachelors in Speech Communication and then went on to own her own business as an Interior Designer. She enjoyed her “retail therapy” and was often at Kohls and thrift shops sourcing gifts for the home, family, and friends. Shopping and decorating allowed Chris to showcase her creativity and talents for finding the right gift or just the right décor. As an 80’s girl she loved music, especially Prince and was an avid super fan of his. She attended many concerts of his as well as other artists she enjoyed. She enjoyed the energy of live music and dancing.

As much as Chris enjoyed her home, she also enjoyed her backyard filled with her dogs, flowers, swimming pool and décor. It was her oasis at home, in which she could enjoy the sunshine, music and water and relish life.

Her children remember her most as the one in the room who was always trying to tell a joke to make others laugh with her quick wit. Her laugh and cackle were memorable.

Chris was like a beautiful butterfly who fluttered from flower to flower spreading her kindness, love, and beauty everywhere she went. All she wanted was to spread love and joy to others. Her pretty smile and piercing green eyes will be greatly missed and forever cherished.

There will be a private viewing with family at Posey Funeral Home in North Augusta, SC.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, and will be followed by a Memorial Service in Orange, Texas at the First United Methodist Church, under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.

Because Chris loved flowers and the beauty of nature, these embellishments are most welcome, as well as donations that may made would be towards mental health awareness in schools for students.
