Clyde Adrain Welch, Sr., 85, Deweyville,

Clyde Adrain Welch, Sr., 85, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, November 21, 2022, at New Cherry Grove Baptist Church, in Deweyville, Texas; Pastor Jeremy Walton officiating. Rite of Committal and interment will be held following services at Richard-Welch Resting Place Cemetery. Visitation of family and friends will be held prior to services, from 11:00 AM until service time. Clyde was born October 23, 1937, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Jesse and Susie Welch. He was Christian man who enjoyed spending time reading his bible and was a member of the New Cherry Grove Baptist church. Clyde was known for his love of Intarsia wood working and could be found working in his garden. He also enjoyed watching his favorite baseball and football teams. Clyde was a loving father, grandfather, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Preceding Clyde in death are his beloved wife, Wanda B. Welch; parents, Jesse and Susie Welch; Granddaughter, Brittney Welch; brother, Jack Welch; and sisters, Jessie Ferris and Betty Langley. Left to cherish Clyde’s memory is his daughter, Carrie E. Richard and husband, Darrell; sons, Clyde A. Welch, Jr, and his wife, Barbara, and Jessie I. Welch and his wife, Sandra; eleven grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild ; and numerous members of extended family. Honoring Clyde as pallbearers are John Richard, Michael Richard, Darren Welch, Wayne Talbert, Shelby Mulhollan, and Caden Welch; honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Welch, Ben Rayner, and John Rayner.

Arrangements were made under the care of Dorman Funeral Home.
