Cecilia “Cindy” Elizabeth Liston, born June 12, 1949, to Floyd and Betty Boaz. She passed peacefully to the Glory on November 15, 2022. God saw fit to bring her into this world by way of Minnesota, but she made her way to Texas as fast as she could.

Cindy fell deeply in love and married Martin Luther Liston, on June 11, 1979, and they began building their life together here in Orange County. They eventually began to be team drivers and made a good living out of hauling inventory cross country in their 18-wheeler. Cindy was a member of Silver Oaks Baptist Church and would often attend services with friends at First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. She was a kind and giving lady as soon as she became aware of a need she always tried to help. For many years she worked with the girl’s group at Silver Oaks and greatly enjoyed going to camp with them over summer break. In the last few years, she became a caregiver and served faithfully those entrusted to her care.

A memorial service in her honor is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Silver Oaks Baptist Church, 16460 FM 1442, Orange, Texas 77632.
