Carol Lee Smith, 71, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2022, in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in on March 8, 1951, she was the daughter of Earline and Lee Roy Russell.

Carol’s granddaughter and great-grandchildren, who loving referred to her as “Maw Maw”, were the light of her life. She tolerated Russell pretty well too. Carol was an avid collector of all thing cow and cow print and enjoyed spending her spare time forcing her loved ones to watch cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies with her.

She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol is survived by her son, Russell Smith; granddaughter, Rebecca Ramon and husband Miguel; great-grandchildren, Andrea Ramon and Mateo Ramon; brother, Charles Ray Russell; and her close friend she considered her sister, Ruth Johnston.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
