Harold Rudolph Williams, Jr., 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 13, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Tommy Anthony of McDonald Memorial Baptist Church. Cremation will follow under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will take place prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on January 9, 1942, he was the son of Harold R. Williams, Sr. and Anna M. (Neel) Williams. Harold dedicated his life to God and was a longtime member of McDonald Memorial Baptist Church. He was skilled electrician and worked for IBEW Local 479. Harold was a man of many skills, including vegetable gardening, mechanics, fishing, hunting, carpentry, problem solving, and he was a 32nd Degree Master Mason. He could look at just about anything and figure out how to fix it. Harold enjoyed old music, classic rock n’ roll, western movies, and NASCAR. He had a great sense of humor and always made sure to get the last word in. Harold was loved by many, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold R. Williams, Sr. and Anna M. (Neel) Williams; his brothers, Raleigh Williams and Jerry Williams; and his beloved furbaby, Rusty.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Virginia Williams; sons, Randy Williams and wife, Ellen of Vidor, Texas and Brian Williams and wife, Angela of Vidor; daughter, Gina McCoy and husband, Jay of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Alecia Daniels and husband, Phillip, J.C. McCoy and wife, Jessica, Kaitlyn Tinney and husband, Zac, Mirandy Williams, Mattie Williams, and Randy Cordell Williams; great-grandchildren, Kinze, Rebecca, Shauna, Alice, Liam, Eli, Margot, Evie, Charlie, Rose, and Kane; brothers, Steven Williams and wife, Barbara and John David Williams and wife, Connie; his best friend, Walter Welch, and numerous other loving friends and family.

Serving as pallbearers will be J.C. McCoy, Zac Tinney, Jeffery Williams, Phillip Daniels, Shawn Williams, and Randy Cordell Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to McDonald Memorial Baptist Church in Orange or to the American Cancer Society.
