Linda Ray Phillips, 76, Orange

Linda Ray Phillips, 76, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2023, at the Mid Jefferson Extended Care in Nederland, Texas. Funeral services are pending and will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Bland Cemetery in Orange. Born in Orange, Texas, on November 17, 1946, she was the daughter of Marshall Miller and Wanda (Wilkinson) Whitehead. Linda was a lifelong member of the Old First Orange Baptist Church in Orange and a lifelong resident of the McLewis Community. She was also a 30-year member, and past president, of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. After graduating from Orangefield High School, Linda worked in the service department for various car dealerships, as well as a secretary position for the Bland Perpetual Cemetery. She was a wonderful woman whose memory will go on to be cherished by all that knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Collins; and parents, Marshall Miller and Wanda (Wilkinson) Whitehead. She is survived by her brothers, James Miller and Earl Miller of Porter, Texas; several cousins; and her loving friends.
