NFL Conference Championship Games This Weekend

AFC

CINCINNATI BENGALS (14-4) over KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (15-3) 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. (CBS)—The Chiefs had a harder time subduing Jacksonville last weekend after Patrick Mahomes suffered his high ankle sprain in the first half. The Bengals were head and shoulders better than Buffalo in their division championship game Sunday. Last weekend there were two upsets out of the four games played and I believe history will repeat itself again with Cincinnati upsetting the 2 ½-point favored Kansas City Chiefs. MY PROJECTED SCORE—Cincinnati 27-Kansas City 21.

NFC

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (15-3) over SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (15-4) 5:30 P.M. Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. (Fox)—Although I believed the Dallas Cowboys defense would confuse young Brock Purdy, it didn’t happen. Throw in the fact that Cowboy quarterback Dak Prescott had another subpar game with two interceptions and you’ll realize exactly why the Cowboys will be watching this game on their television. The Eagles’ defense should give Purdy some looks he hasn’t seen this season and are a 2 ½-point favorite. MY PROJECTED SCORE—Philadelphia 27-San Francisco 24-
