Orangefield wins golf tourney

The Orangefield varsity boys golf team battle the nasty weather on Tuesday, January 31, in the Vidor Invitational at the Country Club of Texas in Beaumont. The Bobcat golfers finished in the top spot with a team total of 330 for the five member team.

The Orangefield Junior Varsity won the tournament played for junior varsity golf teams on February 6

Orangefield's Lincoln Parks finished as the first place medalist with his score of 77. The second place medalist was Alex Montz of Orangefield with an 81, and Xander Parks finished as the third place medalist with a score of 82 for the Bobcats. Other team members were Ethan Gunter and Reese Johnson.

Bridge City and Little Cypress Mauriceville also competed in the golf tournament. Grant Hale led the Cardinals with a 95 as Bridge City had team score of 410 from its five members. LCM shot a team total of 428 with Gavin Laffite and Cohen Arney both shooting 100 for the Bears.

The Orangefield Junior Varsity placed first in the Vidor Invitational played Tuesday, February 6, with other school's junior varsities. Golfers on the Bobcat JV Landon Delate, Jackson Humplik, Jason Bodin, Cameron Dischler, and Peyton Revia posted an overall score of 387 at the tournament. Dischler had the low score for Orangefield with a 93.
