Addie Cuttrell Wallace, 95, Orange

Addie Cuttrell Wallace, 95, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 8, 2023, at Sabine Place in Orange. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joshua Sharp, of Trinity Baptist Church in Orange.

Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service February 11, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Direct, Texas, on August 4, 1927, she was the daughter of Dillard William Cuttrell and Ruth Ethel (Stephens) Cuttrell. Addie was a wonderful lady and friend to all. She graduated from Honey Grove High School in 1946, before going on to East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1949. Addie continued her education by getting her Master of Technology Degree at McNeese State University in 1976. She was a part of many organizations such as Lions Eye Bank in Houston and Lions Club in Orange, where she could be found each year at the carnival where she worked in the popcorn and peanut booth.

Addie was one of the founding members of the Trinity Baptist Church. She taught a quilting class at church and would take the seniors on outings and trips. Over the years Addie enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting courthouses and cemeteries to do genealogy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Ruth Cuttrell; husband, Frank H. Wallace; and numerous other loving family members.

She is survived by her daughters, Patti Patyk and husband Mike of Houston, Texas, and Mary Jane Parsons and husband Fred of Nederland, Texas; son, Frank S. Wallace and wife Suzie of Orange, Texas; grandchildren, Julee Rosales and husband Jonathan of Leander, Texas, Michael Patyk and wife Amy of Fort Worth, Texas, Kevin Wallace and wife Jaclynn of Orange, Texas, David Parsons of Houston, Texas, and Matthew Patyk and wife Amanda of Fort Worth Texas; great-grandchildren, Nathan Rosales, Preston Rosales, Adelaide Patyk, Harrison Patyk, McKinley Wallace, Jack Wallace, Lucy Patyk, and Brooks Patyk; and special friends, Marjorie and Willie Morgan of Orange, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Wallace, Michael Patyk, Matthew Patyk, David Parsons, Jonathan Rosales, and Jim Bill Chaloner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Baptist Church in Orange.
