Doug Trammel, 64, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on February 19, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Jason Broussard.
Visitation will be held prior to the services from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday.
Born in Yell County, Arkansas, on May 17, 1958, he was the son of Delmar Trammel and Nola (Merriweather) Flannigan. Doug worked as an operator for several years. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing and being in the yard with his wife. Doug was a big man with an even bigger heart. He was known to take care of everybody, and he never met a stranger. Doug loved spending time with his friends and having family get togethers. His grandbabies, who referred to him as “Pawpaw”, were his whole world. Doug’s loved ones remember him as being a source of happiness. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nola (Merriweather) Flannigan and Hank Flannigan; sister, Karen Trammel; and brother, Stephen Trammel.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marian Trammel; daughter, Elaine Trammel and partner, Justin Phillips of Bridge City; son, Daniel Trammel and wife, Trista of Bridge City; grandchildren, Aiden Trammel, Benzley Tran, Chandler Trammel, and Coleson Trammel; siblings, Chris Trammel, Charles Flannigan and wife, Kandle, Allen Flannigan and wife, Tabitha, Michael Flannign and wife, Lynn, Joey Flannigan and wife, Niki, and Kim Trammel; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Daniel Trammel, Chris Trammel, Charles Flannigan, Allen Flannigan, Michael Flannigan, and Joey Flannigan.
