Gary Alan Clemmons, 72, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 22, 1950, he was the son of Clifford Clemmons and Gertrude Clemmons. After Gary retired from the United States Air Force he went to work as a corrections officer for a juvenile correctional facility. In 2015, Gary moved to Texas to be closer to his family and loved spending time with his grandkids.

He enjoyed reading about history and loved travelling, especially to the Philippines.

He was a wonderful son, husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Gertrude Clemmons; and daughter, Tawana Clemmons.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maribel Clemmons; daughters, Christina Florez and Casandra Clemmons; grandchildren, Joseph Clemmons, Mark Florez, Jr., Crystal Florez, Ethan Clemmons, Ayla Grey, Derck Grey; Korbin Simmons, Kamble Simmons; great-grandchildren, Adeline and Atreus Florez; sister, Karen Hegge; as well as various extended family.
