Velma Trumps Hudson Amodeo, Orange, 89

Velma Trumps Hudson Amodeo, resident of Orange Texas, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Christus Southeast Texas, St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Services to honor Velma will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Dorman Funeral Home; Rev. Charles Braneff, Jr, of DeQuincy, Louisiana, officiating.

Interment will immediately follow funeral services, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation of family and friends will be held one hour prior to services, at Dorman Funeral Home. Born in Cameron Louisiana, on August 27, 1933, she was the daughter of Bertrand (Bert) and Clodia (Davis) Trumps. She loved her family dearly, especially her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired after a lifelong career as head cashier and faithful employee of Kroger.

After retirement, she enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, and antiquing with her aunt and cousins. She enjoyed traveling to camp meetings and listening to the preached Word of God. Her loved ones will hold many fond and special memories they have of her close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bertrand (Bert) and Clodia (Davis) Trumps and sister Georgia Trumps Romero.

Velma is survived by her only child, Cecil Hudson of Covington Louisiana; grandchildren, Naomi and husband Brandon Wascom, Jeremy and wife Angela Hudson, Scott & wife Kassie Hudson, Todd and wife Tori Hudson; great grandchildren, Kostin Wascom, Gabby Cutrer, Johnathan Hudson, Maggie Hudson, Layla Wascom, Jack Hudson, Jennifer Hudson, Merrick, Blair, and Cheyenne Hudson; sisters, Jewel Megason of Seguin Texas, Pearl Coburn of Orange Texas and Brother-in-Law Harold Romero of Bridge City.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Hudson, Scott Hudson, Brandon Wascom, Weston Dillon, Jaden Dillon, and Glenn Romero. Honorary pallbearers are Johnathan Hudson, Jack Hudson, and Kostin Wascom.
