Charles Elvin Greene, Jr., 59, Bridge City

Charles Elvin Greene, Jr., 59, of Bridge City, Texas passed away on April 26, 2023, at his home. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, May 5, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Orange, Texas on November 7, 1963, he was the son of Charles Elvin Greene, Sr. and Linda Bellet Russell. Charles was a great Dad and a loving Pawpaw to his 9 grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, and camping. Charles would always lift you up with his spirit for adventure and his appreciation of life. He was the life of the party everywhere he went, never met a stranger, and welcomed everyone with open arms. Charles was “Tuff as Nails” and remained a strong fighter until the end. He will always be remembered for his love of family, friends, and rock and roll. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Greene, Sr. and Linda Russell. He is survived by his daughters, Carley Greene (Baillie) of Bridge City and Lindley Greene (Meagan) of Orange; son, Ragan Greene (Ashley); step-daughter, Josie Mendoza all of Orange. He will forever live in the hearts of his 9 grandchildren, Kyler, Ralea, Shalea, R.J, Elijah, Malachi, Zoey, Aubrey, and Magan. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Greene also of Orange. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
