Dickie Mark Plessala, 69, Bridge City

Dickie Mark Plessala, 69 of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on May 14, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Cremation will follow under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 16, 1953, he was the son of Carroll and Eve (Vaughn) Plessala. Dickie was a man of great faith and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for several years.

Dickie worked as a pipefitter at Valero for Local 4-23 and later went on to start a family business in the early 90’s with the love of his life, Evelyn, which became known as Plessala Enterprises. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping with his family, and visiting the Florida beaches.

He loved to tinker on things and has invented a couple of patented items. Dickie enjoyed helping people and had a great sense of humor.

His loved ones will go on to cherish their memories of him and will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Eve Plessala; brothers, A.J. Plessala, Lynn Plessala, and Michael Plessala; and sisters, Peggy Plessala and Cindy Plessala.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years and love of his life, Evelyn Plessala of Bridge City, Texas; sons, Adam Plessala and wife, Chala of Bridge City, and Nicholas Plessala and wife, Summer of Bridge City; grandchildren, Blakelea, Daxton, Nicholas Jr., Braxton, Myla, Karalina, and Kennadie; sisters, Sylvia Plessala of Groves, Texas, Faye Bellanger of Groves, Texas, and Rebecca Laberge and husband, Rick of Florida; many nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other loving family.
