Leola “Lee” Ann O’Sullivan, 92, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 22, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00, Friday, June 2, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Mauriceville, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Strother of St. Maurice Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Dougharty Cemetery in Orange, Tx. Born in Deweyville, Texas, on April 30, 1931, she was the daughter of Sam Dougharty and Martha (Lavine) Dougharty. Leola was a kind and generous woman, donating her time to volunteering at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and School in Orange and working with the prison ministry. She also enjoyed spending her time with her four dogs, cooking and gardening, and she especially loved arranging flowers and designing beautiful tabletop arrangements. Leola was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and proud country girl who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, David O’Sullivan; her parents, Sam and Martha Dougharty; and her siblings, Ethel Maree Dougharty, Willard Dougharty, Onnie Vay (Dougharty) Sweat, Lawrence Dougharty, Marjorie (Dougharty) Martin, and Wayne Dougharty. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Terrence O’Sullivan; her daughter, Kathleen Wimberly and husband, Rick Wimberly; grandchildren, Jessica Wimberly Myers and husband, Shannon Myers, Davis Wimberly and wife, Keane Wimberly, Patrick Wimberly and wife, Jill Martinelli-Wimberly, and Jami Wimberly and husband, Sebastian Sosa Lar. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jett Myers, Cecilia Wimberly, Arlo Wimberly, Issa Wimberly, and Romy Wimberly; sisters, Nell (Doughtary) McGuire, and Pam (Dougharty) Dry and husband, Audley Dry; sister-in-law, Mae (Dougharty) Brown; and many other loving family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Davis Wimberly, Keane Wimberly, Patrick Wimberly, Jill Wimberly, Jessica Wimberly Myers, Shannon Myers, Jami Wimberly, Sebastian Sors Lars. Honorary pallbearers are Jett Myers, Cecilia Wimberly, Arlo Wimberly, Issa Wimberly, Romy Wimberly.
