Joan Dubord, 88, Orange

Joan Dubord, 88, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 3, 2023, peacefully at her home at Rolling Rivers Assisted Living. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Benjamin Vesuwe. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on September 5, 1934, she was the daughter of Alexander and Marie Borsody. Joan was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she was in the Young at Heart group. She loved being involved with the church and volunteering to help in different capacities. Joan worked as a secretary for Special Education for the State of Texas. Joan loved to shop, particularly to craft fairs where she did her Christmas shopping. In her free time, she would play Bingo, Bunco, and Mexican Train. Joan was an avid New York Giants fan and never missed a game. She loved her dogs very much. Joan had a wonderful and kind soul and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dubord, Jr .; son, Edward Dubord III; and parents, Alexander and Marie Borsody. She is survived by her children, Deborah Cahill, Patrick Dubord, Kathleen Dubord, and Joan Bevers; grandchildren, Carrisa Fensore, Amy Lachioma, Katelyn Matosian, Alex Matosian, Philip Dubord, Courtney Dubord, Jessica Riley, Kristina Bevers, Kacee Dubord, and Eddie Negron-Dubord; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as other loving family and friends.
