Frances Ellen Ming, 90, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on July 31, 2023, in Liberty, Texas.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Brown of First Baptist Church of Mauriceville. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will take place prior to the service at 9:00 a.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Shelbyville, Texas, on July 15, 1933, she was the daughter of Rufus E. Lynch and Johnnie (English) Lynch. Frances dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. When her children were in school, she was an active member of the Parent Teacher Organization and was very involved in children’s lives.
Frances was an amazing cook and was especially known for her delicious pies and cakes.
She enjoyed spending time at home and loved birds and flowers. Frances’ loved ones remember and laugh at her waiting to get her driver’s license until her oldest son received his. She was the light of many people’s lives and will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Ming; parents, Rufus and Johnnie Lynch; and brother, Reeves Lynch.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Keith Ming and wife, Robyn of Liberty, Texas and Michael Todd Ming of Mauriceville, Texas; grandchildren, Charles Kody Ming and wife, Jessica and William Kyle Ming and wife Cadee; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Nicholette Ming and Kylee Ann Ming; sister, Sadie Gandy of Silsbee, Texas; and her special friends, Scott, Brittany, and Tristen Purswell, and Kris and Drew Peet.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Kody Ming, William Kyle Ming, John H. Jones, Scott Purswell, Brian Alghrin, and Robert Puckett.
