Logan Maurice Boyett, 45, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 26, 2023, at home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jack Comer.
Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on November 13, 1977, he was the son of Melvin Boyett, Jr. and Tammie Williams (Jenkins).
Logan loved life, friends, and family. He enjoyed working in his yard and flower beds. Logan started smelting a while ago and it became one of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed music, movies, and listening to Howard Stern and watching the Dallas Cowboys, and dearly loved his Bengal cats, Lloyd and Leo, who has passed.
Logan worked for C&B Truck Service for his grandpa and later started his own business with his dad, Boyett Inc. He had many challenges in life, but he continued to try to have a full and productive life. Everyone who met Logan loved him. He had a wonderful sense of humor despite his life’s obstacles. Logan will be missed by all who knew him. He left many heartbroken, but he is in Heaven with no more pain, which brings comfort to his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Boyett, Jr.; grandparents, J.W. and Wilma Jenkins, Melvin Sr. and Ann Boyett; aunts, Rita Hutto and Jenni Taylor.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Tammie and George Williams; stepchildren, Seth Courtney and Kirby Courtney; aunt, Becky Platt and husband Ronnie; cousins, Colleen Simmons and husband Opie, Brandi Griggs, Jeremy Platt and wife Ryoko, Joey Platt, Jessica Church, and Rachel Freeman; as well as other loving family and many friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Slade Walts, Colby Doucet, Joey Platt, Damon McDaniels, and Richard King.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice for animals.
