Golf tourney helps Bridge City Education Foundation

The Bridge City ISD Education Foundation is seeking sponsors and players for the second annual golf tournament fundraiser to be held Saturday, October 28, at Babe Zaharias Golf Course in Port Arthur.

The non-profit education foundation was started by Bridge City alumni to raise money for special grants to teachers in the district for items and projects not covered by the regular school budgets.

This year, the Bridge City High School classes of 1966, 1970, and 1980 are challenging other classes to participate or buy sponsorships.

The golf tournament is in the four-man scramble format with team entries costing $400 each. The deadline for entries and sponsorships is October 16. On the day of the tournament, registration will begin at 7 a.m. with tee time at 8 a.m.

Sponsorship levels are $2,000 for cart sponsor, $1,500 for Gold, $1,000 for Silver, $1,500 for lunch, and $100 each for a tee box.

To get a registration form or information on sponsorships by emailing [email protected]. Payments through PayPal and Venmo will be accepted. The regular mailing address for the foundation is P.O. Box 182, Bridge City TX 77611.
