Karolyn Marie Peet Fruge', 86, Orange

Karolyn Marie Peet Fruge’, 86, of Orange, Tx passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2024 at her home in Orange, Tx in the presence of her family.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 pm on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Tx. Officiating will be Brother Jeff Bell, as well as remembrances by Drew Peet and Joel Fruge’. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Tx.

Karolyn was born in Orange, Tx on 2/2/1938. She was the daughter of Charles William Peet and Verde Lucille Brister Peet of Orange.

Karolyn was a loving, sweet and kind mother, grandmother, aunt, and “Nana”. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She is in the presence of the Lord with her loving family that passed before her, greeting her with open arms.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother & sister-in-law Charles David “Bubba” Peet, Sr. & Linda Peet of Orange, Tx; brother & sister-in-law Thomas Edmund “Tommy” Peet & Mary Peet of Felda, FL; special nephew Charles David “Chuck” Peet, Jr. of Orange, Tx; and former husband and the father of her children, Wendell Jay Fruge’.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Jeffrey & Sherri Fruge’ of Orange, Tx; daughters & sons-in-law Kara & Doyle Gaines of Corpus Christi, Tx; Sheryl Fruge’ and Robbie Bourque and Janis & Mike Soileau all of Orange, Tx. Family of special mention are Lauren Fruge’ Peet of Orange, Tx and William Drew & Kris Peet of Huffman, Tx. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild with another on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joel Fruge’, Daniel Peet, Carson Peet, Adam Mangrum, Riley Mangrum, and Cullen Peet.

Special thanks and appreciation are due to Southeast Texas Hospice of Orange, Tx and numerous staff of Mamie McFaddin-Ward Cancer Center & Dr. Tahir Naqvi and staff of Beaumont, Tx.

We know you are dancing in Heaven and basking in His glory. We will love and miss you forever.
