Orangefield and Parks grab third place at Anahuac

Lincoln Parks of the Orangefield varsity golf team wears the third place individual medal he won which helped his team finish in third place at the Anahuac Invitational tournament last week

The local high school boys golf teams traveled to Chambers County last week for the Anahuac Invitational. The Orangefield varsity golf team brought home third place at the second tournament of the season.

The Bobcats finished behind only Port Neches-Groves and Hardin-Jefferson in the team competition. Lincoln Parks of Orangefield captured the third place individual medal with a score of 77 or five over par.

Joining Parks for Orangefield were Cole Sanches with an 88, Peyton Revia shot a 97, Branden Greenway got a 98, and Gavin Gravett posted a 106. The team total of 361 was good enough to take third place in the tournament.

A good showing was made by Little Cypress Mauriceville with Maddox Manuel (88), Carter Foreman (96), Braden Wilson (109), and Keaton Jones (100) combining for a total score of 393. Bridge City's team of Luke Campbell (97), Tyler Fults (99), Braydon Denison (99), Keagan Trahan (99), and Kevin Cullums (107) finished just behind LCM with a total of 394 strokes.
