Seven Bobcats named to All District in basketball

Orangefield Bobcats Jaden Scales and Zane Wrinkle were honored as the 21-3A All-District Offensive Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year respectfully during the recent basketball season
The Orangefield Bobcats completed a great basketball season with a 33-6 record and reaching the third round of the state playoffs. Orangefield was eliminated by Hitchcock which has advanced to the final four in Austin this weekend.
Seven Bobcats were honored as All-District selections for District 21-3A. Jaden Scales was named the Offensive Player of the Year, and Zane Wrinkle was selected the Defensive Player of the Year. Chosen to the First Team was Kane Smith. Kadyn Rucker and Griffin Thomas were both picked for the Second Team. Making Honorable Mention were Garrett Rawls and Mason Manning.
"This was a great season for the Bobcats, and we want say thank you to all the Bobcat fans for their support and encouragement this year. We believe!" Coach Bryan Whitmire expressed. Orangefield was the 21-3A district champions tying with Kountze for first place at the end of the district schedule.
