Billie Ruth (Eades) Blagburn, 93, West Orange

Billie Ruth (Eades) Blagburn, 93, of West Orange, passed into her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s arms on March 8, 2024, while at home with her loving family. Visitation will be at Claybar Funeral home in Orange from 5 PM until 7 PM on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024. Services honoring her will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange on Wednesday at 1 PM with interment afterwards at Claybar Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City, Texas with the Reverend Jeff Bell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Blagburn, Darren Blagburn, Adrian Hamilton, Carlos Cardenas, Scottie Eades, and John (Trey) Broussard.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Antonieta Blagburn of West Orange; Grandchildren Darren Blagburn, Kyla Blagburn, and Katherine Blagburn, all of West Orange, Aaron Blagburn and fiancé Tori Arceneaux of Orange. She is also survived by her great grandson, Jayden Blagburn of Orange; and nephew Scottie Eades of Katy, Texas.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Lee Eades, Sr. and Katie Lucille (Higginbothan) Eades of Orange; her brother, J.L. Eades, Jr; and nephew Randy Eades of Orange.

Born in Alba, Texas on June 7, 1930, she was a graduate of Emory (Tx) High School and migrated to Orange in 1962. She worked as a transistor tester at Texas Instruments in Dallas (Tx), an accountant, cafe’ owner, operator of a movie theatre in Emory (Tx), and a bartender. She also worked as an RNA at Jones Rest Home in Orange for over thirteen years.
