Robert Edward Broadus passed away on March 30, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on August 28, 1973, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Earl and Ella (Broussard) Broadus.
Robert was a man with a rough exterior, but those who knew him loved him for his huge heart. He loved racing cars, especially at the Evadale Raceway and enjoyed spending peaceful moments fishing. He was a member of the Outlaw Bible Church in Vidor and was working towards becoming a preacher.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Margie Broadus; loving mother, Ella Broadus; daughters, Cassidi Broadus of Pineville, LA and Chelsea Broadus of Vidor; his bonus kids, Zachery Rickenbrode of Bridge City, Amber Riley of Spurger, and Braydon O'Quain of Sulphur; and grandchildren, Allison and Aiden Riley. He is also survived by his siblings, Donna Lane and husband Kenneth of Groves, Tammi Blackstock of Mobile, AL, Lisa Greene of Lucedale, MS, and Brian Linscomb of Orange.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Earl Broadus; siblings, Earl Jr., Wayne, and Denise; grandparents, Robert and Lille Mae Broussard, and Earlie and Nannie Broadus.
A Memorial Service to honor Robert's life will be held on April 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Outlaw Bible Church, 7595 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
