Wilifred Allen Tabor, 75, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2024, peacefully at home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland. Officiating will be Dr. Jordan Rogers.

Wilifred was born on February 23, 1949, in Moultrie, Georgia, to Leila Jewell and James Samuel Tabor from Coolidge, Georgia. He attended Central High School in Thomasville Georgia. After graduation in 1968, he joined the United States Army in June of 1968. Allen specialty in the army was Carpenter. He was stationed in Korea for a year of his 3 years active duty, with honorable discharge in 1971. In 1973, he joined the USCG and was stationed in the New Orleans for 5 years and honorably discharged in 1978. June 3, 1972, Allen married Rebecca Ann DeWitt of Columbers, Georgia. They were married almost 52 years at the time of his passing. They had three children, Brian Anthony Tabor in 1974, Jennifer Erin Tabor in 1978, and Aaron Keith Tabor in 1981. Allen resided in Port Neches, Texas since 1983, until his passing March 27, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leila and James Tabor in 1983; sister, Audrey Marie Porter in 2011; grandson, Andrew Tabor in 2020; and granddaughter, Olivia Ellen Tabor in 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Tabor; son, Brian Tabor (Toby); daughter, Jennifer Fey (Troy); son, Aaron Tabor (Erin); grandchildren, Nathan, Brycen, Brody, Leila, and Cora Tabor, Addison Fey; brothers, J.P. Tabor, C.T. Tabor (Faye), Mark Tabor; sister, Betty Tabor; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
