Evei Juneann Shipley was Crowned as Miss Orange County on April 7th at the Julie Rogers Theatre, where she won a $2,500 scholarship. Evei is the daughter of Jolei and Terry Shipley. She is a senior at Nederland High school and plans to attend Stephen F. Austin University for a business degree, attend Law School and become a family law attorney helping children in the CPS system.

The Mauriceville Heritage Association proudly announces the successful hosting of the 43rd annual pageant, in conjunction with the highly anticipated 2024 Crawfish Bash, scheduled to take place from May 3rd to May 4th. For over four decades, our association has curated an unforgettable experience not just as a pageant, but as a cherished tradition that resonates in the hearts and minds of local young women, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.

The Miss Orange County Pageant, a highlight of our community's calendar, unfolded with grace and elegance on Saturday, April 7th at the esteemed Julie Rogers Theatre. This year's event was made possible by the generous support of our esteemed sponsors: Top Deck Flooring Company, Mooney Boys Ju Jitsu, Merle Norman- Orange & Bridge City, InsureLife Insurance Agency, Catt Lawfirm, Petite n Pretty, and Crowned Prisstique.

Under the exceptional guidance of Director Jamey MacFarlane, alongside Assistant Directors Mandy Simon and Theresa Hardin, the pageant showcased the exceptional talents and grace of our local young women. Director MacFarlane expressed excitement over the crowning of Evei as this year's Miss Orange County Queen, highlighting her potential to be a stellar representative of our program across the county. MacFarlane also extended gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers, emphasizing the remarkable support that enabled last year's successful fundraising efforts, resulting in a $5,000 award for our Senior Miss Division.

The Mauriceville Heritage Association extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, sponsors, volunteers, and attendees who contributed to the success of this year's pageant. As we eagerly anticipate the upcoming 2024 Crawfish Bash, we look forward to fostering community spirit and celebrating our cherished traditions together.
