Wynona Ann Johnson, 67, Orange

Wynona Ann Johnson, 67, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2024, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, Texas.

Born in Kirbyville, Texas, on July 5, 1957, she was the daughter of T.J. Permenter and Walline Wynona (Clark) Permenter. Wynona dedicated many years of her life working as a lunch lady at Mauriceville Middle School. Her commitment to the students and staff was unwavering, and she was cherished by all who knew her.

Wynona enjoyed playing video games and watching her favorite TV shows. She had a warm and loving personality, adored her family dearly, and had a special place in her heart for hummingbirds and her many dogs. Her kind spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. S

he is preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Walline Permenter; brothers, Tommy Permenter, Monte Permenter, and Mark Permenter.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Bruce Johnson; son, Christopher "Bucky" Johnson and his wife, Tiffany; daughter, Lisa Johnson; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson and his wife, Emalie, Lillian Jordan and her husband, Jacob, and Adrien Johnson; great-grandchildren, James Johnson and Jace Jordan; siblings, Randy Permenter, Mickey Permenter and his wife Jeannie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
