OPD seizes fake pot at local convenience stores

Wednesday, Nov. 12, at approximately 5:00 PM, the Orange Police Department Narcotics Division, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Narcotics Division, conducted an operation targeting two convenience stores in the City of Orange. Officers received information that Synthetic Marijuana was being sold out of both stores. The stores were Star Stop #4, 1415 16th St. and Star Stop #5, 1104 Burton. Search warrants were obtained and executed simultaneously at both locations.

Police arrested Andrew Gonsalves, 49, at Star Stop #4 for delivery of a synthetic controlled substance and possession of a synthetic controlled substance. Officers recovered five packages of synthetic marijuana.

Kaur Balwinder, 39, was arrested at Star Stop #5, for delivery of a synthetic controlled substance and possession of a synthetic controlled Substance. Officers recovered over 200 packages of synthetic marijuana (approx. 5 pounds).
