Vidor man killed in hit and run accident

Officers with the Vidor Police Dept. found a man’s body on the side of FM 1132 in Vidor, at about 3 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 30.
It appeared that the man had been involved in an auto-pedestrian accident.
The man, who was identified as 33 year old Jeremiah Freeman, was struck sometime near the intersection of Evangeline Dr. and Flora St.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Rodney Price, who also ordered an autopsy.
Details were not being released due to the investigation into the accident.
