An Orange woman was arrested on public intoxication charges after calling 911 for help.

Heather Elyse Brown Granger, 26, called police from Northway Park to say she was hiding from a man who had given her a ride.

Upon arrival to the park at 2:58 am, Officer Tim Pruitt met with Granger, and she told him that she had been drinking at Cotton’s Cay on N. Hwy. 87. Granger was observed to be unsteady on her feet, and had slurred speech. There was also an odor of alcohol on her breath

Granger was placed into custody for public intoxication and transported to the Orange County Jail.
