Shawn Milton Crooks, 24, of Bridge City was arrested Monday, July 14, on two felony warrants for stealing a vehicle and evading arrest. He is also a suspect in several other crimes according to authorities.

Crooks had previously evaded authorities after stealing a vehicle in the West Orange area. Monday, BCPD, assisted by WOPD and tracking dogs from Port Arthur, believed Crooks was in the area of his home on Granger Dr. Officers searched the area most of the day without finding him.

Near the end of the day, BC police officers, Richard Teague and Tim Reeves, along with Jessica Johnnie, of the OCSO, were in the vicinity of Granger Dr. when they spotted Crooks, and took him into custody without incident.
