The West Orange – Cove District-wide PTA sponsored "Bring Your Dad to School Day" events this week at West Orange – Stark Middle School and West Orange – Stark High School.

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, fathers were invited to attend classes with their child at West Orange – Stark Middle School. Dads, Moms, and grandparents attended classes and sat along-side their students; allowing them to experience their child’s schedule and daily school activities.

On Friday, Nov. 14, dads were invited to a “Breakfast with the Principal” event at West Orange – Stark High School prior to the start of school. WO-S High School Principal Rod Anderson and WOCCISD PTA President Linda Bryant welcomed parents. Parents and their students were able to enjoy a hot breakfast before they reported to first period class.

“The mission of this particular day is to connect fathers to their children in order to improve the various outcomes for children as they grow to become sound, productive adults. Positive parent involvement produces positive future citizens and productive households. This brings a lifetime value to our communities!,” Bryant said.
