On Jan. 10, three Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School students auditioned for and earned the honor to perform with the Texas All-State Choirs by beating out hundreds of other choral students throughout the region. All-State Choir is the highest distinction a Texas choral student can receive.

Senior, Taryn LaCour and sophomore Chase Courtier both earned spots in the inaugural Texas All-State Small-School Mixed Choir.

Junior Hannah Hodges earned a spot in the Texas All-State Women's Choir, the second consecutive year Miss Hodges has been named to this prestigious group.

All of the Texas All-State Choirs will perform in San Antonio on Feb. 14, during the Texas Music Educators Association Conference. The Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Choir is under the direction of Mrs. Nikki Hanson.
