The South Texas Wrestling show will be setting up their ring at the Bridge City Middle School Gym on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 7:00 pm. The school is located at 300 Bower in Bridge City.

Anthony Walker, President, Owner/ Operator of South Texas Wrestling, along with wrestler, Teddy Nall of Lake Charles, La., will be bringing their 25 wrestlers to entertain you and your family. With an anti-bullying message, wrestlers from all over Texas and Louisiana will provide matches showing strength, empowerment, inspiration and no show could be complete without a "Battle Royale."

They have donated 15 tickets to Boy's Haven. Judice's Cajun Cafe in Bridge City, Sartin's Seafood and Neighbors Clinic in Orange have sponsored the event and provided goodies and footballs to be given away. There will also be a drawing for an Academy gift certificate

The wrestlers will be available for a meet and greet at 5:30 pm. Doors will open for the public at 6:30 pm, with bell time at 7:00 PM

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Concessions will be available and wrestlers will have t-shirts for sale. No outside food or drink will be allowed.

The proceeds of this event will go to support the Bridge City Booster and Athletic Program.

Walker has been promoting wrestling matches for seven-eight years and wanting to bring them to his hometown area. After his son played football the past few years, he saw the need of the athletic department and how money was needed by each group of athletes. "Not just football, but from the baseball field, uniforms, soccer, basketball and other groups needing new equipment, there just isn't enough money to go around for all the programs in school," Walker stated.

Teddy Nall, wrestling since 1983 and providing programs at events and schools with the awareness of bullying and empowering our children, summed it up as, " I am blessed, if you don't give back you don't deserve the blessings. Blessings are meant to be shared!"

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, Walker and Nall brought some of their wrestlers to area schools and provided education through a skit introducing South Texas Wrestlers and their enrichment/empowerment assembly to our neighborhood kids. Other schools or groups interested in this program or assembly may contact Walker at 409-720-8720 or [email protected], or Nall 337-853-0625 or [email protected].

The teams motto is this…No more Bystanders - be Upstanders! Recruit a team, and name your team!
