Who’s got the best crawfish? We wanna see who can boil the best crawfish, so sign up now to show off your crawfish boiling skills. Join us on Saturday, May 18th at Peggy’s Place aka Peggy’s on the Bayou. You can sign up your business, organization, non-profit or as an individual to enter the cook off.

The public is invited to come taste and vote on the best tasting crawfish. It will be free to the public to taste and vote.

Prizes will be awarded to First, Second and Third places from the public and we have also invited the Chamber of Commerce to

choose their Best Overall Pick of boiled crawfish. We will also recognize categories such as most unique items boiled and the Winner of the Chamber’s vote will receive a Customized Champion Apron.

In addition to some great opportunities to taste different styles of boiled crawfish, we will have silent auctions and raffles benefitting the SETX Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Peggy and her campaign for this year has already raised over $1500.00 this year. She has asked if you are a business owner or an individual whom would like to donate gift cards, prizes or items crafted by yourself, please contact her or drop off this week before the event.

Crawfish Boil rules and guidelines for the event. The entry fee is waived at this time. Your team must boil a minimum of 1 bag of crawfish, with your own “fixings” and ingredients and bring your own ice chest, serving table and pop up for shade. We ask that you you serve 3 to 5 crawfish to each person that hands you a ticket. Peggy’s will furnish the serving trays and napkins. We will give each attendee tickets to get 1 sample serving of crawfish from each contestant beginning at noon.

Our main item we are raffling is 2 sacks of live crawfish, a gift card to Market Basket and an awesome Crawfish Boiler for a donation of $5.00 each raffle ticket.

Peggy’s Place will be holding a Texas Hold-Em Tournament starting at 3 pm with a $100.00 buy-in. 25% of the buy-in total will go to the SETX Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.
